About

Guilian Lirio has worked in IT for 30 years and with PeopleSoft since 1999. He began as a PeopleSoft developer at Office Depot Corporate Headquarters and moved into PeopleSoft administration (PSAdmin) and system administration.

Since 2010 he has been PeopleSoft System Administrator at the Palm Beach County School District, where he plans and leads PeopleSoft upgrades and the yearly FSCM and PeopleTools update cycle, trains and mentors new system administrators, covers manager duties when the manager is away, and takes part in the ERP QA Change Management process.

PeopleSoft System Administrator

  • Plan, lead and perform PeopleSoft upgrades, including the multi-release path from 8.9 to 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2 and the yearly technical FSCM and PeopleTools upgrades, from planning and testing through cutover.
  • Use PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) images and change packages to keep PeopleSoft applications and PeopleTools current.
  • Work closely with functional teams throughout each upgrade to coordinate testing and cutover.
  • Train and mentor newly hired system administrators, including hires new to PeopleSoft, for the PeopleSoft System Administration team.
  • Cover manager duties when the manager is away, acting as the team’s point of contact.
  • Participate in the ERP QA Change Management process.

  • Supported and developed the corporate help desk system, including web and email self-service interfaces.

  • Middle Tier Administration: installation, administration and support of PeopleSoft, MicroStrategy, Manhattan and IBM Cognos application servers.
